The Garden Handbag is a handmade bag weaved on a traditional waist loom by artisans from Chiapas, a southern Mexican state very popular for their ethnic diversity, skillfull workshops and colorful textiles. This style includes the technique of 'deshilado' or drawn threadwork. With deshilado, selected threads are pulled from the ground fabric; the rest are bound and reinforced with decorative stitching.
